Vladimir Putin has been cozying up to China's Xi Jinping - the two men cooking pancakes together in Vladivostok against a backdrop of Russian war games in which Chinese planes are taking part. The flurry of diplomacy is a message to Donald Trump's administration, reports Reuters Andrew Osborn.
